Every stay I've had at Columbine Inn has been splendid. The staff is helpful and available 24/7. The rooms are clean and spacious. I go to Winter Park and via the side road it's never more than a 45min drive to the Mary Jane free parking.

Probably my favorite small motel that I have ever stayed in! The host was so nice and willing to do almost anything to make the stay comfortable. The room was small but very comfortable. Very clean and quiet. The proximity to ski resort was a plus. No negatives at all. Doesn't have all the extras of a big hotel but it is perfect for a ski stay or I'm sure a summer trip as well.

Great family owned property in a town that's hard to find adequate lodging! Sam, the owner, is a gem and very kind and accommodating and obviously takes immense pride in his adorable mountain inn! Easy parking and homey rooms make it an easy option when traveling through Idaho Springs!

The room seemed pretty clean, but the toilet hadn’t been flushed, the mini fridge still contained items from a previous visitor and it smelled of smoke and possibly pet odor. The front window had been left open (maybe to help with the smell?). The proprietor was friendly despite being woken up at midnight to give us the keys to the room. The rate was much lower than national chain hotels in the same area so can’t complain too much.
