The balcony view was nice. You can see and hear the ocean. You can keep door open all night to hear ocean. It is easy to get to the beach. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is simple but very nice. The rooms are clean. I would pay to stay in room again as it is in a quite area and near good local restaurants and close to stores to.

This inn is very cute and we felt safe the entire time. The staff were great and even made homemade pancakes for breakfast. They have games, books, and beach toys to use as well. The room was clean. There were 2 down sides though. None of which correlated to our ratings but I feel guests should know. 1. The beach that is right behind the inn is very dirty. There was trash all over the beach and even in the water. We decided to get in the car and take a short 14 minute trip to Huntington pier which was great. 2. The walls are very thin. We could hear folks in the lobby anytime they were down there and we could hear the people in the room next to us. We didn’t mind for this trip, but if you’re wanting more privacy then I would not choose this location.

This property was nice. The front desk guy was friendly and welcoming. Our room was not bad. Upon arriving our toilet was plugged. The front desk guy fixed that right away and was apologized. Unfortunately I would say the room was quite dirty. A large amount of dust on the bed frame and around the room. The floors were very dirty so socks or slippers are a must. The number one thing that was annoying was there was a syringe (needle) left in the safe. It was capped, but nonetheless, not something you want to find in your safe or room. The breakfast was good. The pancakes was a nice touch. Coffee was really good. Overall I would say this was a pretty nice place. A few things could be improved and some more attention to the cleanliness.

Such a cute hotel. We arrived late and Shaun at the front desk was so accommodating for our arrival. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Very easy access to the beach and the hotel has items we could borrow to take to the beach (towels, chairs, etc). We loved our stay!

This was the most AWFUL TRIP EVER! This place is a huge NO for anyone looking. Car broken into the first night in Their Carport! Ask for a possible camera footage and that was a No. The supposed Continental Breakfast, had no hot coffee and was a room blocked off with a table and a Tip Jar with someone behind it sayin what can i get you? Seriously, i cant just walk in and see what you have (wrapped pastries, fruits and cereals) and decide? Nevermind, im good. Walked across to Starbucks. That was a plus. Only plus is the easy walk to the beach but Thats It!

We stayed at Ocean Surf Inn & Suites on September 27–28 for my 40th in room 207, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We had such a wonderful time! The location is perfect—tucked into a quiet neighborhood and just steps from the beach. We were able to hop right onto the bike trail and ride through Huntington Beach, Newport, and Balboa, which was exactly what we had planned for this trip. I hadn’t looked into how our e-bikes would fit in the room beforehand, but thankfully, there were no issues at all. The room was comfortable, and the balcony was a favorite spot—we loved sitting outside to relax and enjoy the view. The staff was so sweet, kind, and welcoming. Since it’s a smaller hotel, you run into the same friendly faces, and it really makes you feel like family. Everyone we met was wonderful. Overall, this is just a great hotel in a great spot. I can’t recommend it enough, and we will definitely be back!
