Review of Balboa Bay Resort (December 19th-21st, 2025)
I recently stayed at Balboa Bay Resort and wanted to share my experience. The resort is stunning, and the service was exceptional in many respects. The ambiance, amenities, and location truly stood out.
However, my experience was marred by a disappointing valet service incident. During my stay, the valet damaged my car, and I was not informed of this damage at checkout. When I raised the issue, I was told a report would be filed and that I would be contacted within 24 hours, but this communication timeline did not occur.
I made multiple follow-ups, even calling on the third day after checkout, but no one seemed to have any record of my complaint. It was only on the sixth day that the director of security contacted me and stated that the resort would not be liable and that the surveillance footage would not be shared with me or my insurance. This made it impossible to challenge the resort’s stance and left me feeling powerless.
In summary, while the resort’s facilities and initial service were commendable, the lack of transparency and communication regarding the valet incident was highly disappointing. It is unacceptable that they are unwilling to share the footage, leaving guests with no means to prove liability and forcing them to take the resort’s word.
I hope the resort addresses these issues in the future for the sake of
