Get ready for a second floor climb

Rge only thing worth commenting was the makeup of the second floor. If you get a room on the second floor above room 215, then get ready to go up a hallway that has a small hill to it. It's not a level hallway. For myself walking with a cane it was interesting to say the least. The room itself was very good and spacious and the breakfast is what you would expect from a Comfort Suites.

The interior of the building was very welcoming. Pretty roses were blooming out front. Check in was a little slow due to a large group of people being checked in but the attendant was pleasant and apologetic. I was asked to pay a $100 room deposit which I have not encountered before. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot, and it was quiet to sleep. The hot tub was broken and had green slimy water but the indoor pool was clean and operating. The breakfast was pretty picked over by the time we arrived at 8 am. Mostly carbs were still available so we did not eat there. Check out was easy. The deposit was refunded the next day. 7/10 rating.

Not a good stay

Initially there was construction in the lobby which I did read about in previous comments but the construction did go beyond the lobby. Also when we went to try and use the room key it did not work. We did go down to the front desk and let the staff know which I'm not sure if she believed me or not but she took the same room key (that didn't work) and went back up to the room to see if it didn't work which it did not which is what we told her. So we ended up back down stairs so she could get us a new key card that did work and she went back upstairs with us to make sure it did work which it did. The room was not up to par due to there being an odor and the window was facing a roof. We then asked for a different room or a refund which we were given a room on the first floor. There was an odor also but not as bad. It was only for the night so we went ahead and stayed. This hotel definitely needs updates.
