ALWAYS stay here while in Virginia. Highly recommend this location. Clean. Nice rooms. Vending machines with multiple options for beverages beyond just soda. Near all of the local downtown shops. Food nearby including dine-in, fast food, grocery, and convenient store. Target is also close by. Staff is always friendly. Price reasonable.

This place is a step back in time but not in a bad way. Clean and comfy old building with charm. The walls are very thick so you can’t hear any other noises. Staff was very nice and the breakfast was perfect with lots of options. Only bad thing was the bath tub didn’t drain during showers but I guess that’s to be expected in an over 100 year old building.

Great find

It was an older motel, but really cool! The pool was big. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great and in a really nice old room/bar. Parking was easy. Two things that were wrong: the hot tub wasn’t working and one of the elevators was broken. It didn’t affect us on our stay at all.

Nice old classic hotel. Comfortable beds, nice variety of foods for continental breakfast, comfortable eating area. The hot tub was not functioning but the pool was nice and warm so the grandkids enjoyed it a lot.
