This place was amazing. I needed a last minute stay for just one night, and this was available. When I got there, the gal working the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and very clean and cozy. I explored the grounds the next day before heading out, and I can honestly say I cannot wait to go back for a longer stay with my wife. When I checked out the guy working was also very friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough…it’s wonderful!!

Staff are very friendly and bartenders can make a great Bloody and a Martini! Food at the restaurant was just, “ok.” Walleye cakes have too much filler and no flavor. Pork Belly was delicious, love the blackened on the veggies. If you’re looking for space, don’t book a, “Guest Room.” I had a bigger room at a boutique hotel in New York for the price. No room for a desk in there, which is something I needed. If I would have known, I would have booked elsewhere, especially for the price. No coffee in the room, after I asked front desk twice. They did have a fridge and microwave, which was nice. No safe in room. The “Lodge” closes at 9pm and opens the next day at 9am, so you need to plan accordingly. I travel to North Shore regularly for different events. I will be looking elsewhere for accommodations.

We were disappointed in the room size and layout for what we paid. It was supposedly a Lakeside suite cottage. We were upstairs in a room with someone next door and under us. The grounds were very nice and the restaurant served us a nice meal.

We had one of the Lake View Cottages. View of lake was outstanding. The entire grounds were perfectly maintained. The desk clerk was wonderful at check in. When we couldn’t find any information on check out we asked the clerk at the desk. To our surprise she said we didn’t need to do anything at check out. They handle trash, running the dishwasher everything! We highly recommend Larsmont Cottages!

We arrived to find a very disappointing room—the photos on Expedia did NOT match the actual room (photos were of a lake view suite with fireplace; the room we were in (for over $300) was a tiny full bed and bathroom overlooking the parking lot). The staff tried to make it right and got us into the pictured room the following night. Expedia, as usual, was no help at all. I’m kinda done with Expedia.

The only reason I gave it a 4* os because I think it's a bit over priced and the massages are over priced as well. Other than that the property is beautiful and I love how you can hear the waves in your room.

Wonderful room at a wonderful location

The grounds were well maintained and mosquito free, the shoreline was flat rugged stone jutting into the surf. The stars were perfectly visible at night. Campfires are night with s'mores were great addition. The room was wonderful, comfortable, and quiet. We could only hear the sounds of the crashing waves which lulled us to sleep at night. I would stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
