We wish the stay was longer at this house. The pool was great, the kids had a blast. Food and shopping was nearby which was convenient. House was comfortable and clean. If we are ever back in Fort Lauderdale, I would stay here again.

2025 Fort Lauderdale - Tropical Getaway

For the past 5 years, my wife and I, both in our mid 70's, travel with 2 small dogs annually to the Fort Lauderdale area to escape the cold New York weather. We stayed at the Tropical Getaway this year for a month - 2/12 - 3/12. Yamil and Erica are fantastic hosts. The checkin was flawless and we were greeted by a few bottles of wine and several snack for both my wife and I and our puppies. The house was perfect - just as shown in pictures. We had one son and his 6 year old visit for 4 days and my brother and his wife overlapping for 6 days. The accommodations were perfect. The video games hit the spot for both the adults and the 6 year old. The heated pool is perfect. For me, it was the highlight of the premises -- I swam almost every day. As a family we all enjoyed the pool. After these guests left, another son, his wife and 2 year old came to visit. Having the portable crib on site was great! To say the toddler enjoyed the pool is an understatement!!There is a lot to do nearby. Parks (which the toddler loved) , beaches and of course restaurants. After visiting Fort Lauderdale beaches a few times, Yamil recommended Hollywood Beach. THIS BEACH IS PERFECT!!! A beautiful beach, a beautiful boardwalk. We never went back to Fort Lauderdale beaches.Thank you Yamil and Erica for sharing your home. Our family had a great time in Fort Lauderdale. As next year approaches, and God willing, we will seriously consider your Tropical Getaway for 2026!

Nice Vacation Getaway

Communication with the host was an A. Ran into a minor issue checking in but he was extremely quick on resolving the issue. Pictures of the place were exactly as advertised online. The surrounding area is a bit rough but never felt unsafe there. Loved the arcade games within the house Would stay again if I’m in Ft Lauderdale.

Lovely modern cottage

Amazing doesn't do this justice!!

We had the pleasure of spending our family time for my younger brother's graduation at Yamil's property. I am beyond grateful for all that came with the stay. From the cleanliness of the property to the impeccable communication provided by Yamil, I am still in AWE!! I often visit the Ft. Lauderdale area and utilize hotels when doing so, but that is definitely a thing of the past!! Maple Leafs Trip

Check in was painless. Loved the open concept and we all agreed the private pool was much better then public and we could use it at anytime. Great little spot to sit outside where we spent the majority of our time when we were there. No mosquitos !! All modern appliances at our disposal, fridge with ice maker, washer and dryer and you could even use the oven as an air fryer. Easy access to everything, beach, shopping, Casino and especially the hockey game, a 20 min Uber trip. Airport was a 15 min trip as well. Overall, lots of room for 5 adults and so much better then staying in a hotel. Great spot, highly recommend.

Spring Break 2024

Our family had a great time and the hosts were very responsive when needed. Cozy newly renovated home equipped with everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Private heated pool was a HUGE success! Grill provided with utensils was nice for a small family BBQ on the patio. Safe and quiet neighborhood. We had an awesome time in FL and our housing accommodations exceeded expectations . The property is as advertised. Spotless and updated. Loved everything about it, especially the pool and the video games. The welcome gift is also a nice touch. Check in and out was seamless. The hosts communicate appropriately - not too much, not too little. Highly recommend.
