The staff really did everything to get a room as fast as they could for me. The service was the best, the room was clean and the cleaning staff was very helpful. The area around the hotel is safe and close to the train station and everything important. Would return here in a heartbeat

Oldish room, very small bathroom, noisy from street activities. Very good location close to the train station, restaurants and Duomo and other museums. I recommand this hotel for the location, a plus since you don’t have to carry your suitcase far. Lots of restos close by so is the market for great lunches.

The hotel was very old, the room smell very bad, there were no hanger in bathroom for towels, the were very limited options for breakfast. Overall, it was my worst hotel experience amongst the 4 hotels I booked in Italy so far. The only positive point was the location which was close to train station as well as attractions

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Our window overlooked the main pedestrian street which was lovely. It was noisy at night with chatter - but there are double glazed windows so it was fine and I don’t mind this anyway. Absolutely no noise in the morning because there are no cars - wonderful! The hotel is old so traditional decor and character. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us good advice about where to eat. The hotel is centrally located and we could easily walk around to popular destinations in the day and find somewhere close by to eat at night. Would recommend

Hotel was well located near the train station and in the heart of the city historical area. Lots of activity around with nice restaurants, stores, etc. Mattresses were a bit hard, but room was good overall.

The hotel is conveniently located as it is very near the train station. The street also has grocery store, laundry shop and a lot of dining options! Plus very near the duomo. Room is very clean. Our room was on the street side and I could hear the people having drinks at the nearby restaurant but nothing that could not be fixed by closing the window. As we leave very early, the staff graciously packed our breakfast the night before (juice, water, fruits and biscuits).

The staff was excellent and the hotel was only a few minutes walk away from SMN train station and major attractions such as the Medici Palace and Chapel and Il Duomo. Excellent restaurants and bars were just seconds away from the hotel (we particularly enjoyed the service and food at Trattoria Katti right across the street). The hotel was undergoing renovations which will make the rooms beautiful when they’re done! We had a few problems with the room; the toilet did not flush properly for the 8 nights we were there, the floor was uneven and the bathroom door would not close properly. The staff was very attentive and addressed our concerns as quickly as possible but the room needed some work. The front of the street is quite noisy at night so the hotel gladly gave us a room in the back away from the noise and we never noticed a thing. The breakfast buffet had everything you wanted but the booths were awkward to get into and the coffee machine kept running out of coffee. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was EXCELLENT and the location was fabulous. When the rooms are updated this will be a premium hotel and a bargain at the current price!

Breakfast was okay. Beds were hard and pillow super thin. Hot water took 20 min to get hot. Few staff members were grumpy others were pleasant. Very noisy as room next door partied until after midnight but no staff in building to deal with the noise. Convenient location to train and some major sites. Wouldn’t stay again
