Dear Chelsea, I'm really disappointed and surprised by your review, you didn’t express any of this to me at any time throughout your stay or upon departure. Your comments provide a very negative view of our business and are in no way reflective of the service and product we provide. I find it hard to understand how you don’t believe you received an upgrade when the apartment you stayed in had an extra bedroom, extra bathroom, balcony and a larger dining/living area. This is the upgrade (and with an extra bedroom) that I described in my email to you so I’m not sure what else you were expecting. And your comment “she had not only taken away the reason why I booked the original room”, I can only assume you meant the spa bath as this is the only feature which differs between the apartments. I did clearly mention in my email to you that the upgrade apartment did not have a spa bath so you were aware of this before choosing to take the upgrade. You did have the choice to keep your original booking. Yes, I did request, in what I thought was a friendly manner, that you didn’t use the fourth bedroom/ensuite as the upgrade didn’t include this. I think this is quite fair especially seeing as there were only two couples and 1 child and 1 baby in a complimentary portacot so there was more than enough space for your group. I’m sorry that your child was unwell but unfortunately our policy is that we are unable to provide late check-outs when we have an arrival into the apartment on the same day. This apartment does actually take 9 – 10 labour hours to clean and make all of the beds and with our housekeeping staff already scheduled for changeover days it is difficult to accommodate all late check-out requests. Wherever possible we do provide late check-outs but the reality is that it’s not always possible to accommodate every single guest’s needs.
