A great location. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great shower pressure and hot water. The only drawback is the worn out spring mattress needs replacing. Other than that highly recommended

I am so pleased with our relaxed stay, at this home away from home location. My family could store food in the included refrigerator, heat up our leftovers in the microwave, & can dry our hair with the included hair dryer. We had 5 days of clothes to wash prior to arriving and conveniently there are very clean laundry services. We paid $2 to wash and $1.75 to dry. The units are extra large to hold and wash thoroughly our clothes. It was so nice to have clean clothes and dried well without being damp. The staff were friendly and accomodating with towels and extra hygienic products. We had to stay an extra day due to a storm and we were given an extra day with fair rates. Breakfast is served from 6am to 9 pm. There was complimentary food such as toast, apples, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice and tea. The only issue that I noticed was a lack of vegan and gluten free options. My family is highly allergic & could not enjoy the spread. We got to have orange juice and tea. My family appreciated that we are central to so many activities and shopping centers. Beaches, restaurants, and the coaster are walking distance. The pool was clean as well with a designated smoking area, outside of the pool. Our vehicle was safe without any issues. The property was quiet, clean, and felt good to return after a day of activities. The shower with included body wash, shampoo, and conditioner wall units was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I like the beach decor. Highly recommended.

First of all I got to say that this the purpose of getting some sleep at this place has been accomplished. However there were a few interesting details that made me feel rather uneasy. First, during the check-in I was asked to sign on some policies, which in itself did not feel unusual. What did feel unusual is the following policy that was on the list: 'The hotel may enter your room at least once per day, even with a "Do Not Disturb" sign, to ensure the room is clean and in good condition for you and other guests. You authorize hotel staff to enter for this purpose.' Second, when I asked if I could get my water bottle refilled, the staff at the desk said no, because their water filter only gets turned on for the breakfast, but that I am welcome to buy some bottled water. I did not quite follow how a water filter can only be turned on for breakfast, and I preferred not to ask further questions for various reasons, but during the breakfast there was a different staff at the desk, who clarified, that they don't have a filter (so it seems that the hot water that is served at breakfast is unfiltered). Third, the room felt a little stuffy and had a strange smell, but after the response I got about the filter, I did not feel comfortable inquiring whether it would be possible to do anything about it. Frankly, if I was not staying there with my friend, I would have been scared to sleep there.

This hotel is located in Leucadia a neighborhood in coastal Encinitas. It’s within walking distance of the many nice restaurants and the beautiful Moonlight beach, while being detached enough from both for peace and quietness. The hotel itself was clean although the hallway carpet could use a refresh and the rooms are lacking in the quality of decor. Overall, I gave it a 4 because in this area location is everything and with the price point it’s a good deal.

I stay at this place almost every time I go to Southern California during the off-season. It is an incredible value and a great location. It’s not fancy, but everything works and incredible location.

Great service and value!

Great location, wonderful service and excellent cleanliness. Plus, dog friendly! We had no issue staying with our dog. Our room was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. There are many food and entertainment options at walking distance and a short drive away to many more. I highly recommend it and we’ll for sure come stay again!

Very comfortable. Good value for price. And Leucadia is appealingly quirky. The nearby beaches and lagoon walking trails are beautiful. For those here on Sunday mornings, the Leucadia farmers market is excellent
