You will fall in love with this newly renovated historic home located a few blocks away from some of Duluth's most famous attractions including Lake Superior, making this the perfect location for your ideal Northland experience. This home is conveniently located between the North Shore's hiking trails and parks, steps away from the iconic Canal Park waterfront district and downtown Duluth where you will find unique restaurants, breweries, shops and attractions. A short 3 block walk from the home and you will find yourself on the Lakewalk, an 8 mile long paved trail stretching from Brighton Beach on the east end continuing through Bayfront Festival Park and into the Lincoln Park Craft District. Using the bikes provided or your own, you are mere minutes from the best Duluth has to offer. Half a block away is London Road on the famous Grandmas Marathon course where you can cheer on the runners every June. Close to UMD and CSS.


As you enter this 100 year old home from a covered patio into the entry of the free flowing main level including the living room, dining room and kitchen, up the stairs on the second floor you will find 2 bedrooms with Lake Superior views and the new modern bathroom with a tiled shower. The basement features laundry to clean up after a long day hiking, biking or playing in the sand.

The house was really clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was awesome. It was a short walk over the pedestrian bridge to the rock beach and lake walk. We appreciated all of the little touches that made the house welcoming, like welcome snacks on the counter, games in the cabinet, kids cups and utensils. It was perfect for a family of 3 with a younger child.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and the host answered all of our questions. The lake walk was lovely and it is a short drive to a lot of fun stuff. Only bad thing: squeaky floors. Not a big deal for adults, but if you are a light sleeper or have a child with you, be aware. We brought a noise machine with which helped cover up the creaks, but it still woke the baby a couple times.

We traveled over 5 hours for a wedding at the Greysolon Ballroom and were not disappointed in the least bit! This VRBO was awesome. It was pristinely clean. We had a 1-year-old with us and felt very comfortable letting her crawl around and play with her on the floor. My husband was amazed with the carpentry finishing work on the house. The house was built long ago, but looked, felt and smelled brand new. It was perfect for a family of 5. We felt safe. The location was perfect. We were unfamiliar with the neighborhoods in the narrative, but the location and view of Lake Superior, close to a grocery store, and entertainment made it perfect! Easy trip to Greysolon Ballroom. Thanks for making our trip memorable.

Great Location - Great Place

Our family came up for the Bike Duluth Festival Enduro Bike Race at Spirit Mountain, and just to hang out in Duluth. While our oldest son stayed at the campground on the ski hill, the rest of us had the pleasure of staying here! The location of this place was great for: 1) walking down to the lake/lake path; 2) Walking to many places to eat or get coffee; 3) getting onto the main highway or main road to get you through town. The place was super clean, modern and pretty. Even the basement was meticulously clean when we took our bedding and towels down! The basement and the porch had been rid of any spiderwebs and such that I imagine must build up in those spaces. It was amazing! We really enjoyed sitting on the porch with the view of Lake Superior whenever we could get out there! The beds were also very comfortable, and I loved the benches that were in each room. (I'm sure they have a fancier name than "benches" based on their beautiful wood work and style, but I don't know what that name is ;b). It was easy to check in, and our hosts were very responsive and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future! PS - had fun putting together the "Impossible Puzzle". I love puzzles and I'm always up for a good challenge! Very cool!

Our family of four stayed here for a quick 2 night trip to Duluth, and it was great. Cute house in a nice location. We walked over to the Lake Walk trail one morning and the kids loved skipping rocks and wandering around the shoreline. Would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay here. The house is nice and our host provided towels and basic amenities. We used the kitchen to cook dinner and enjoyed it on the balcony.
