Really enjoyed our night here. The room was brilliant, fantastic size for a family of five. The bar food and staff were excellent. Reception staff friendly and attempting to move things along….just some residents not taking the hint. Self check in would not work for us…but just a technical issue- great idea tho. Swimming pool was good unfortunately the changing rooms late on a Sunday evening were dirty and therefore we did not go back the next morning (even the kids happy with this). Breakfast was unreal and really enjoyed it

Average stay.

Family of 5 staying in a family suite. Check-in was fine. Room was very clean, but bedding for the sofa bed was missing and there was no foldout bed. Was all sorted very quickly at reception. In general the hotel was clean, but is tired looking. There was a bar/restaurant across the road with music, noise, car beeping and revving outside going on until after 3am - kept everyone awake which was disappointing and unexpected as we’ve stayed before and not had this issue. Breakfast was busy in the morning but queue moved quickly and there was plenty of food, all tasted good. Plates for the breakfast were dirty - I went through 3 plates before getting a clean one. Overall some small improvements would make a big benefit. Hopefully noise issue is not an ongoing problem.

Our stay at the clayton hotel liffey valley was overall a great stay .nice clean hotel with friendly helpful staff especsilly tars and sharron in the restaraunt at breakfast time .nothing was too much for them .they were very helpful whether it be food in the restaraunt or asking them for directions and advice on where to go.absolutely exceptional service from these two individuals.my only complaint is that we had a 5 night stay and, during those 5 nights our room wasnt freshened up once even, when we left tags on the door asking for it ..i had to ask on various occasions for towels , cofffee and biscuits ect ..this should have been done automatically also the coffee in the rooms is tasteless you need a better brand .a big problem was the heat up on the 4th floor it was very hot with no air conditioning.overall i would say a very good stay just a few niggles need ironing out

The suite was lovely. On a corner with plenty of natural light. Balcony etc The food was excellent. The Guinness was great which is rare for a hotel. Pool was good. Overall the staff were good one or two little mishaps, for example a waitress failed to offer us dessert and when we asked, she told us the kitchen was closed. This was very poor form and really annoying after a long day's travelling and having had 3 small kids promised a treat.. On the other hand the following night, the waitress was super on the ball and we were very happy. There was an empty vodka bottle and cigarette butts on our balcony which were removed when I told reception. The staff were very nice overall. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience. It's a lovely hotel. The location is quite industrial but it's an ideal base with great food, drink and amenities.
