Came here after a flight. Shower had no water. Breakfast was an actual joke. Room was so humid the carpet was squishy. Towels were stained & had hair on them, gross. In general not clean and odd smell. Would not stay twice

All the staff were super helpful and nice, property is very convenient to the airport. The hote could use some updates and maintenance. Restroom was not very clean, bathroom floor was dirty and was so slippery, did have housekeeping clean the floor again white it looked cleaner it was super slippery which is not safe especially for someone with mobility issues.

Winngate Detroit Metro Airport

Checked into room on first floor near the bar. Room itself was too close to bar and lobby and noisy. Had front desk find a different room on 2nd floor. Room was dusty and seemed not to have been cleaned (deep clean) in a while. The smell coming from the carpet and drapes was old and stale. The entire room was outdated. After cleaning the remote control for the t.v. and the headboard along with all other surfaces, I was ready to check out but stayed due to family checked in for a funeral. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were small and the fill in them clumped. Not a good night sleep. Breakfast was a joke and consisted of dry mini muffins and orange juice. Nothing was served that is advertised on the website. Left hotel for the funeral and received a text asking if I had a vehicle parked which may or may not needed to be moved due to work on the parking lot. Returned to the hotel and elevator wasn't working. We were told the steps were at the end of the hallway. The kicker was at check out being told they could not print a receipt. I waited until they figured it out. I don't think this hotel should continue operating and shoukd be rated at 1 star instead of 3.

Again, fooled by the photos online. Photos of the lobby looked nice. Guess they tried to fix it up a bit. But beyond that, everything else was nasty and old. We had a handicap accessible room. It smelled terrible. Kind of funky. I went to get ice with the ice bucket. There was a soggy plastic bag inside. Housekeeping didn’t bother to change out the bag. But it was the bathroom that was the worst part. It reeked of urine!!!l The tub looked gross around the edges, and the wallpaper was peeling off around it. They had installed a nice mirror, but the should have put more effort in taking care of the tub. AND OH MY GOD!! THE BREAKFAST, there was a tiny fridge on the counter that had little plates wrapped in plastic with cold eggs, and cold sausages on them. You had to get one of each and warm it up yourself. That’s just terrible. We originally had a reservation at another hotel. And they changed our rate after we got there. So we found this room on Expedia. But it was late by the time we got there. Or else I would’ve found another hotel. These Wyndham rooms are really going down. So disgusting and disappointing Stay away from this hotel!
