Not the same as it once was…

This hotel has always been my go to hotel when I visit family that live in the metro area. Over the years though I have watched its decline. I had to move rooms due to no hot water. The room they moved me to the sink drain was very slow so it filled up quick but drained very slow. Just not the same place it use to be.

There was no power cord for the television and none to replace it. New room was offered but o had already unpacked my two children and it was late. Too inconvenient to pack back up go back to the front desk and then move to another room. Would have hoped to have a transfer close to the room we had already unpacked in.

Solid place to stay

The place is very charming and has a lovely restaurant and bar near the guest services desk. There is also a very good selection of foods for breakfast. My only gripe was that there was a solid one inch line of dead pixels on my television, but I’m not too upset about it. Overall, it’s very nice for a hotel in Detroit.

Shuttle service poor

The hotel was fine however the shuttle service was very poor. I was stranded at airport due to snow and called ahead to make sure there would be shuttle service around midnight and was assured of it. I waited over 45 minutes in the freezing snow and called three times being assured the shuttle was on it's way. I gave up and eventually called an uber.
