I searched for a hotel with a hot tub and the indoor pool was the thing that made me decide on choosing Sun Viking Resort and well as upgrading to a room with a balcony and garden view. The property is repairing balconies causing the indoor pool closure. Had I known in advance I would not have booked here and definitely would not have booked a garden view which was of the indoor pool area. The hot tub, which was my original draw wax not hot and the he jets were not very strong. My last complaint is that we booked for 6 people which consisted of two queen beds and a queen sofa bed. When we pulled out the sofa bed we discovered no bedding. The office provided sheets and a blanket but had no pillows and said there was nothing they could do since housekeeping was gone. With all that being said, we enjoyed our stay and I would be inclined to go back once the repairs are done. It is a great location and both pool areas are beautiful and well kept. I hope the next repair or upkeep is to the hot tub.

No good. Took my wife and newborn there for short 3 day vacation after Christmas. I checked out within 2 hours and went to Daytona grande down the street. The Viking lodge is dirty, damage everywhere in room and pool area. Most importantly the people that live in the hotel are a little rough with many unattended children EVERYWHERE.

The stay was amazing! Great location, really nice staff and our room was very clean and comfortable with stocked kitchen and nice balcony overlooking ocean and pool. Laundry on site was convenient and everything was located within minutes away! Will definitely stay on our return trip.

The fridge in the first room wasn't working, so my wife took in the keys to get another room while I repacked our things. She was told that was "the only time we would swap rooms." So I didn't even bother mentioning the other minor/bearable issues with the second room. But in the end we just left the hotel a day early, even knowing that I was losing my money.

Checked in on time. Room had musty odor. Door hardware on entry & balcony doors need repairs and pose security risk. Garbage left by elevators for days. No coffee makers in rooms as anticipated. Overall property still recovering from hurricane damage, for the cost, there are better hotel options nearby. No nearby restaurants walking distance. No beach access/blocked. We stayed during Biketober Fest 2025.

Not an 8.4 out of 10, more like 4.5 out of 10. Property is a little run down, room wasn’t cleaned well. Had to prop the door closed with chair and try to shut out the light. Also didn’t realize that this was Bikeoctoberfest weekend so lots of loud traffic throughout the night. We liked the indoor pool until someone started smoking pot in the area.
