Beautiful setting rooms are genuinely clean until you look close the caulking around shower tile is moldy air conditioning is on or off no in between. I had a light bulb out and asked for it to be repaired never happened.

We had room 150 at Sonesta Maho. The room was run down, housekeeping did minimal cleaning. I dare not eat anything but breakfast at the resort. My husband and I ate chose to eat at the Indian restaurant, Mr. Chow and the Burger place across the street from the hotel. The drinks from the bar were substandard…they offer drinks in paper cups with no straws? I think the staff tries to be accommodating, but they can only work with what they have.

ive been visiting for the past 10 years . Many services habw dropped. Not so friendly and welcoming as before. Receprion is very much mayyer of fact. No engaging and welcoming with all the smiles etc. Restaurant wait staff are not as deligent as before. I visited in July as my 4th visit and saw these drawbacks. therefore I visited again in october to ensur that I was not wrong. But the overall service has dropoed so has the food quality. This are just too routine. I live when the service beyond expectations was the norm. Also securit looks less tidy than.before.

I wouldn’t say there was anything unique about the property. I did enjoy the pool area and the entertainment at the pool sight. In addition the outside grill was a nice addition I would hard preferred a different food selection other than hot dogs and burgers. We are in the Caribbean. The only dislike was getting locked in my room when the deadbolt lock was broken. There was no information on the phone or any number available to call for assistance. I had to bang on the door for help.

I recently stayed at Sonesta Maho Beach and overall had a pleasant experience. The beach is definitely a highlight — beautiful and right by the famous airport runway, which makes for some unique plane-spotting. However, it’s worth noting that the beach space is shared with two other resorts and the public, so it can get a bit crowded. The food was decent, with a fair variety, but it didn’t quite meet the standards of all-inclusive resorts I’ve experienced in the Dominican Republic. Still, it was enjoyable for what it was. One thing I really appreciated was how safe the area felt. I was comfortable walking around during the day, and the resort itself maintains a secure environment. All in all, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a safe, well-located resort with a nice beach — just manage your expectations when it comes to dining.

Very bad property. Limited dining with the same options everyday. Staff is terribleeee, nasty attitudes and very obnoxious. Food is a 2 out of a 10 with the same thing and limited options daily. Would never visit this property ever again!

Room and facility was clean, they had great dinning options and a swim up bar. I paid for a pool view but seems like i was upgraded to island which had a little smell but i only went out to take pictures so i allow it not to bother me. The staff at the restaurants are very friendly and accomodating.. the only reason for my 3 star is the lack of trust where guests cannot rely on them with their possessions. Negligent, where there is a lack of care or attention in handling guests' belongings. My selfie stand i left while taking pictures on the balcony went missing from my room after checkout, the day after check out i was still on the island. I contacted the hotel and was told they will ask house keeping and give me back a call. I got a call stating i should come to the hotel for my selfie stand i left on the balcony. After i arrive i was told its a misunderstanding because they still need to look for it (an item i left behind just one day need to be looked for) they stated they will give me a call the following day. I ended up still being on island however received no call.the hotel has not provided any satisfactory explanation or resolution. My suggestion for anyone staying at this hotel double check that you havent left anything valuable or non valuable behind tho sometimes checking out is a rush because this is not a hotel you can rely on to get your belongings back to you.

Overall the property was great. The spa was phenomenal! The service was just okay, some really excellent employees but mostly you’ll be getting a nod of acknowledgment and nothing else. The food was pretty decent for an all inclusive. Staying in the off season was definitely worth it if you want peace and quiet.
