The staff was friendly, especially the woman responsible for the made-to-order breakfast. She was quick and efficient and served the food with a cheerful and friendly attitude, which was nice to see early in the morning. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The showers were great--strong water pressure and plenty of hot water.

This hotel is so much nicer than other we tried in its price range in downtown SLO. Rooms are big, beds comfy, bathrooms work, toiletries are nice, the property and pool are nice, it's quiet at night and free parking. Staff helpful every time we have been w lots extras like nice sitting areas inside and outside, and bfast and happy hours.

Breakfast ended at 9:30 but check out was at 11. We booked for the hot tub and told the front desk it was a 9pm arrival, they said that was fine but they actually shut it off at 10pm and kicked us out. They even shut off the fire pits. The night staff was incredibly rude as was the grounds staff. It wasn't worth $200 a night at all. The facilities are outdated and not as nice as pictured.
