I swore I would never stay at a Motel 6 again after my last experience but I took a chance. Now I know to stay away for good. I chose it based on price but it’s not worth it. The rooms smell funky and the bed is hard as a rock. There were 4 loud guys next to me drinking beer and having a good old time well into the evening. It’s not like it was super cheap either at nearly $400 for tow nights. Very disappointed.

Very clean and well kept up Motel 6. It’s very basic but clean. Could have used more lighting in the parking lot near my room in the back. Vending machine was broken. Unfortunately my room was in front of the stairs which got noisy in the evening until about midnight.

People often think of Motel 6 as a "bargain basement" option. This San Luis Obispo location is definitely affordable, but it's appearance, service and amenities are right up there with so many other chains that are regarded as higher class. If you like "simple but extremely well-done," this is the place.
