About this property
Romantic retreat for two in Arizona wine country. Wake to sunrise through panoramic windows, hike Sedona's red rocks by day, soak under stars by night. 25 min to Sedona, 10 min to wineries.
Spring is Pitchner Place at its finest. Wildflowers dot the pasture view from your bed. Hiking temps are perfect, Cathedral Rock by morning, Page Springs by afternoon, cedar hot tub under stars by evening.
Past guests say pictures don't do it justice. We agree. The sunrise through floor-to-ceiling windows, deer grazing at dawn, the quiet so complete you hear individual birds — details a camera can't capture.
"We found ourselves wanting to stay in more than be out." — Alexis
We're your virtual concierge — available by text/chat anytime. Need dinner reservations in Cottonwood? Want to know which winery has the shortest wait? Looking for a wildflower trail? We'll share the insider spots that don't show up on Google.
We're not on-site, but we respond fast. Guests consistently mention our communication as a highlight.
Cornville is where the locals go when Sedona gets crowded.
You're in the heart of Arizona's wine country, Page Springs Cellars is literally 10 minutes away. In spring, the tasting rooms are uncrowded and the winemakers have time to talk. DA Ranch (our favorite) is 10 minutes. The entire Verde Valley Wine Trail (20+ tasting rooms) is within 15 minutes.
This is a real farming community. You'll wait for cattle crossing the road. You'll discover the general store where winemakers buy morning coffee. The pace is deliberately slow.
Spring transforms the landscape: cottonwoods leafing out along the creek, wildflowers in the meadows, apple orchards blooming at Slide Rock (mid-April). The air smells like sage and new growth.
Old Town Cottonwood is 15 minutes for restaurants and shopping. Jerome, the historic copper mining town perched at 5,000 feet, is a scenic 25-minute drive that guests consistently recommend.
Sedona's red rocks are 25 minutes away. Close enough for day hikes. Far enough that the crowds stay there.
Full access to Pitchner Place and its outdoor spaces.
Your private cedar hot tub with direct master bath access, no braving the cold to get in. The deck overlooks pasture where javelina appear at dusk and deer at dawn. Your fire pit has its own seating area for evening gatherings.
The short-private trail to Oak Creek starts at the parking area. In spring, the creek is lively from seasonal rains, perfect for morning walks along the water. By May, creek-side wading is comfortable.
Hammocks hang under 100-year-old cottonwood trees that are leafing out in fresh spring green. Complete privacy from Tu'nlii House (our main home), separate entrance, separate outdoor space, separate everything.
Level 2 EV/Tesla charging included onsite.
Pitchner Place was designed for couples who notice details.
The master suite faces east, panoramic windows frame sunrise over the pasture where deer graze at dawn. Past guests wake up at 5 AM on purpose just to watch. The second bedroom accommodates friends joining your wine country weekend.
The modern kitchen invites real cooking. Seasonings, a Nespresso machine, and everything you need to prepare a meal with produce from the Cottonwood Farmers Market. Guests consistently mention how well-stocked it is.
But the design detail everyone talks about: the master bath connects directly to the cedar hot tub. Step from the shower into the tub without touching cold morning air. Martin and Anna called it "genius design" — and they're Airbnb hosts themselves.
The outdoor spaces are where spring shines. Your private deck overlooks the tree-lined, Oak Creek, the fire pit is positioned for stargazing, and the trail to Oak Creek starts from the property.
"We absolutely loved our stay! Peaceful surroundings and an absolutely beautiful, comfortable home." — Tara, August 2024
Your wine country basecamp: - Page Springs Cellars: 10 min - Cottonwood Old Town: 15 min - Sedona (red rocks, hiking): 25 min - Jerome (historic mining town): 25 min - Slide Rock State Park: 40 min - Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport: 2 hours
Onsite parking with Level 2 EV/Tesla charging — guests call it "a game changer."
Spring drives along Oak Creek are gorgeous. The cottonwoods form tunnels of new green. GPS tip: Use Google Maps for accurate directions.
Pitchner Place offers complete privacy on our shared property. You'll enjoy exclusive use of your deck, hot tub, fire pit area, and meadow views. Separate entrance ensures you won't cross paths with Tu'nlii House (main house) guests.
Spring evenings cool to the low 40s — perfect hot tub weather. The cedar tub is heated year-round and the contrast between warm water and cool spring air is something our guests rave about.
We're the first sustainability-certified vacation rental in Central Arizona (Sustonica). Solar water heaters, EV charging, low-flow fixtures, and eco-friendly products throughout, because this creek and these cottonwoods deserve protecting.

Our host communicated very well throughout the trip. There was a snafu during our stay where the adjoining unit was being cleaned at 10:30pm and our sleep was disturbed. I mentioned this to the host and he was very apologetic, promised to apply a discount, but then never did. When I asked about it post stay, I was ignored. Left a bad taste in my mouth, which is a shame, because I would have stayed here again. My wife and I really enjoyed this property.

My 24 year old son and I stayed here while my husband was receiving medical treatment in the area. This a beautiful home. The pictures are exactly what we experienced. Very clean, well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay.

This property is a house split in half. Separated by a bookshelf placed in a doorway. The other occupants can be heard easily. No privacy. Other occupants have full access to your side of the property and pass just feet from your bedroom window to use the “private” creek access. Which we were unable to use because the other side of the house had a party of 20 people going back and forth between the creek and house. No privacy on the patio. Couldn’t access the “hot tub” which is a slimy nasty pool of still water. Hairs from prior guests found everywhere. Eww. Drawers, bedsheets, towels, floor, shower. Everywhere. Dirty floor. Couldn’t walk barefoot. Just overall very disappointed and would not recommend. Wanted a quiet weekend with my husband and go fishing by the private creek that was advertised in this listing. Also… was looking forward to sleeping in. Instead had landscapers outside my bedroom window @6:45. They remained there all day. I had to have all my blinds closed and felt trapped inside all day. Violated.
