THE JOHN RIORDAN HOUSE. BUILT 1898. VACANT, BURIED FOR 60 YEARS, RESTORED 2012

Step back into 1898 with all the comforts of modern day conveniences. 2 bedroom, one bath, with 1200 square feet of wood deck and flagstone patio overlooking the center of the Town of Jerome and the entire Verde Valley. Easy (vertical) walking distance to the center of town shops, wineries, restaurants. Great year round weather and peaceful mountain air evenings. Stay in a 127 years old house which was buried in mud and abandoned for 60 years.

The John Riordan House is the highest rentable space available in Jerome. It is located directly above the center of town with fantastic views of the town and valley below.
This property has received the MOST TOTAL and MOST VRBO 5 STAR REVIEWS than any other rental in Jerome. This house is listed as the one of the top 12 VRBO's in Arizona. https://www.territorysupply.com/vrbo-arizona

A full two page story of the 81 and 86 year old Riordan brothers returning to their childhood home after it was buried for over 60 years was featured in the November's 2014 issue of Arizona Highways magazine.

Because of the steep terrain and gravel roads, we do not allow motorcycles at the property. This is for safety of both our guests and our direct neighbors.

Such a cool place to stay!! The view was amazing. The location was perfect. So nice to be able to walk down to Jerome and to the Grand Hotel. So interesting to learn about the history of the house and walk back in time with all of the decor from the late 1800's early 1900's. Knowing the history and the story of the home being saved really added to the experience. The home was comfortable and clean. We loved the fire pit on the deck! Easy and quick communication with host.

Really more like staying in a museum than a vacation rental. You feel steeped in history and can't resist imagining yourself living in the grime and bustle of Jerome's mining heyday. The views are incredible, and the gas-fired fire pit made a great setting for a well-deserved happy hour after a day of exploration.

Such a beautiful home and property! Very clean and comfortable. Sitting outside on the amazing porch/fire pit in the evening, and for coffee and sunrise in the morning was wonderful. Easy walk to downtown. Would love to stay again someday.

Amazing house, clinging to the hillside above Jerome. Incredible view. What a project it was to resurrect it after the mudslide nearly destroyed it.Great stay, seamless process. Highly recommended.

The place was an experience all on it's own. Loved the plaques that helped bring the history to life. The views that made morning tea a delight and the swings that added a bit of fun.

The house was so cool!!! Lot's of history in the house and the restoration did a wonderful job of making the space accurate to the times but still comfortable for staying overnight. It was the coolest place I have ever stayed. And, walking to town and back up the hill wasn't as hard as I thought it would be - we did it in the rain! Loved it.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The owner provided every detail needed to ensure that we had a good experience and communicated excellently. The house was clean and well stocked. We spent the whole morning on the deck watching the sun rise and drinking coffee. Do heed his advice and dont bring a large vehicle. The roads are very narrow and the parking space handled our Buick Enclave but anything longer would have had an issue fitting. I highly recommend this property.
