We were in a chairman suite in the resort nice room. But had cobwebs. We ate in the pad restaurant lovely waitress squid was chewy. Spring rolls were only warm in the centre and the Chicken in the Pad Thai was well overcooked. Drinks are over priced. £2.95 can of pop. £5.50 bottle water 750ml. 2010 Golf course is over booked your waiting on every tee. 5 1/2 hours to get round in a £55 buggy. Halfway house closes at about 5.30pm. Day 2 we queued for 20 mins to get in to the buffet breakfast. Watched the waiter use the napkins to wipe the table with the mess being pushed to the floor. Good selection of food. Driving range needs to be booked. We played the Montgomery, 3.20pm tee time just about made it around in time. Again stacked high. Waited on every tee and also someone behind us. Too many blind holes. A buggy is must. Overnights underground parking £20. On the whole this resort is living off its reputation. Very overpriced. Service is poor. Not enough staff.

Room ok but our first room the air con or telephone worked so we had to move rooms The second room did sell of smoke but they did offer the freshen it up. The breakfast was very average food quality not as good as in previous visits

Been staying here for decades. Property used to feel exclusive and high-end, with service unmatched even by American Ritz Carlton standards. In 2025, the resort has really gone towards the families, with children running throughout the resort, boisterous atmosphere at breakfast, and a feel of a mid-range Disney resort. not that this is necessarily a bad thing, just buyer beware. There are not enough staff to handle this number of visitors. At breakfast, instead of being led to our assigned table, we had to find our own table. When we called from our room to find out resort activities, no one ever answered the phone. The Bell staff were very efficient when they were present. However, there are not enough of them. When returning to the hotel late at night, we often found no one on duty outside. Again, it seems from my vantage point as a frequent traveler that this resort has gone for volume over quality. We still love the rooms, the amenities, and the surroundings, but that exclusive feel has definitely gone away. Hire more staff immediately!

On arrival property looked great. Check in no complaints. We found service overall poor, very slow and disjointed in the large bar, I could go on. Bathroom needed some attention in our room. Bath panel needs a touch up and bathroom floor was in need of a mop. Shower dripped continually (what a waste especially now) No Hairdryer if there was one you needed a super sleuth to find it. I rang housekeeping got no reply. The rest of the room was lovely. For a five star we where disappointed and probably won't stay again. Sorry. Bridget Jones.

Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with a friend the food couldn’t be faulted. Very comfortable beds. The carpets need attention also bathrooms need a deep clean and dust the occasional table between the arm chairs in the bedroom.

Excellent, luxurious stay. This huge hotel is a well-oiled machine and functions brilliantly. Breakfast was superb. Staff extremely helpful. Meal options are varied but pricey. Would stay again.

In my room noted cobwebs by the windows with dust. Air conditioning didnt cool despite reducing temperature settings.

Food was good in the Asian pad, bar sandwiches were good.. drinks expensive, breakfast good but payed for the up grade on the 6th floor, staff good. Poor body salt scrub, hardly any contact & at one point I thought she had left the room, definitely wouldn’t return to the spa and was quite concerned that she had only been there for 7 months & done a refresh course! Steam room not working and the jacuzzi in the main swimming area had lots of scum, nice grounds to go for a walk, comfy beds & nice room on the 6th floor overlooking golf course. Would return without the spa but I dare say it might have been a one off ….
