I was quite impressed with the Calgary Marriot Downtown Hotel. Getting to the hotel was quite easy. I used the valet parking, this was very convenient. Once in the hotel the staff at the reception desk were fantastic. They were very helpful when we needed extra blankets and a microwave. The service was spot on. We requested an extra blanket and a microwave at the reception, by the time we got to our room both items were there. There is a Milstones restaurant on site as well as a Starbucks. The hotel is located right on the walking path with all the shops and restaurants. This is very convenient for going out for dinner and taking in the sites. The only negative I had with this hotel was the rooftop patio that is advertised on line is not open to regular hotel customers. The patio is only for special functions and weddings. I picked this hotel because it had this beautiful rooftop patio but was not able to use it when we got there. It wasn't too disappointing as there were other restaurants and patios in walking distance. All in all, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Unfriendly reception at arrival.

I did not enjoy my stay at the Calgary Marriot recently. We arrived to stay frim the 18th of June to the 26th of June but due to some terrible misunderstandings between my husband and I with the reception we decided tovstay fir only three nìghts. When I did the booking I was unaware that it was a third party booking and we were guven three times the costvof the room per night and we were told that the bill would increase everyday because hotels in Calgary were overbooked due to the Rotary Convention happening in town. We felt this was a coʻvert way of getting money out of us and wraping it under a third party booking. The suite itself was not up to standard as we were Marriot Bonvoy members. Despite finding my name and number as a Marriot Bonvoy member, I was denied any privileges because they claimed we booked via a third party We have always stay at the Marriot anytime we travelled overseas and recently have not received the usual Marriot Bonvoy hospitality. The last ine I stayed in Melbourne Australia is yet to reinburse money paid for the room we checked out of befor our due date. I am not at all satisfied with the shoddy treatment received from Staff at Calgary Marriot. I hope it had n̈othng to do with the fact that I was racially profiled. I am a Rotarian from Nigeria and I was attending the Calgary International Convention in June 2025.

LOCATION!!!!!!. In the middle od the downtown shops, restaurants and nightlife. Very clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and professional. Paulo( i think that was his name) at the bar was also very friendly and quite entertaining. Our visit was short but we enjoyed ourselves
