No issues really. We chose a canal view room, which was lovely, but we could hear cars driving past beneath our window. Worth bearing in mind.

It was too expensive for that type of room. I paid so much money and the breakfast was not even included. You can find better deals around this town. I didn't like the 2 supporting beams were running in the middle of my room and I could hit them any second. The toilet sitting is way too low, and they bathtub entry is too high. The bathroom Definitely needs a facelift. Staff was helpful. And do not be tricked in any hotel that is by a canal or river. That doesn't mean that you won't get that room and Europe forget about upgrade.

Nice Quaint Place, Great Location

I loved the location, facing at a quiet canal, a short stroll away from the bustle of the touristy areas. Wonderful dining options nearby. There is a bus stop a few steps away that take you to the train station or the farthest reaches of the city. The room was spacious, nicely furnished, with a beautiful view of the canal, plenty of hanging space, but not much to place not hanging clothes. Nice common areas. Breakfast was good. Several small things made it not a 5 star stay. 1-Coffe in the room was powder coffee. A Nespresso, or drip coffee should be standard for a 4 star hotel 2- The mixing valve of the shower did not mix well, so water went from too hot to too cold and I had to take showers moving in and out of the water stream 3. The reception person there most of the time was rather inattentive. We asked for a nearby restaurant recommendation that could take us the first day without a reservation and we were pointed to a book. We asked for information about the bus schedule and he told us to walk to the bus stop, we found out there was a marathon the day we were checking out, and we asked about street closures and the person had no idea there was a marathon passing just in front of the hotel, nor how that was going to affect our going to the train station. The hotel posted something the day before the marathon. 4- The towels looked dingy. 5- No way to control the heating. But, overall it was a good stay and might come back to it if we go back to Bruges.

Very cute hotel, but in need of some renovations. The mini fridge didn't close properly, there was no outlet in the bathroom for a hair iron (only the hairdryer that was fastened over the outlet or hardwired in - not removable so couldn't tell), there was definitely evidence of some water damage in the form of bubbling and cracked paint here and there. It was all ok though, and the room seemed clean, didn't smell like mildew or anything. My main concern, and maybe this is just an American thing, is that the elevator door didn't stop when it came in contact with me, my luggage, or my hand. Had to hit the button a couple of times after the doors failed to stop on first contact. That aside, it's a cute hotel, with comfortable beds, in a good location, with pleasant staff.

This is a very nice hotel within easy walking distance to everything you might want to see in Brugges. The staff are very professional and ready to help with any questions. The building is 450 years old with a lot of history. It is well maintained and the rooms spacious. I would stay here again.

Good location especially getting off the bus from the station. Canal room was great! Just what I hoped for. Quiet in the evening on this side of town too. Had a great breakfast at @tatties in the next block very near, and a good mid point for walking to the windmills etc. had a great time. Stairs are a bit of a trick, you’ll get used to them but keep in mind luggage or up and over the stairs between their 5 connected buildings. Adds to the quirk of it all.

We really enjoy staying at this hotel. Check in was very easy, the actual location made it very easy to walk to all of our activities, even though it's on the outer edge of the downtown area, it is so easy to get right into the heart of market square but yet stay far away from the big crowds, only a 9-minute walk. The only thing that I did not love about the hotel which cannot be controlled by the hotel itself, we had a beautiful room that overlooked the canal but unfortunately as the cars drove by who is very noisy from the street. Nothing the hotel could do about this, just something that if somebody is very sensitive to noise they should consider a garden view instead. Also there are a lot of stairs, so this should be considered if anybody has trouble navigating stairs. We would definitely stay here again.
