This is an absolutely beautiful property! All of the staff that we came into contact were extremely nice and helpful. We ate at Cascade, and the food was delicious, and service was also wonderful! Our room was extremely quiet! We were concerned at first because our room was right as you came off the elevator. The only complaint we had about our room was the bed. They aren't comfortable and only a double, if you're an adult, you and your partner can't help but disrupt the other if you move. They are also hard, as are the pillows. The beds with the slightest movement, it sounds like plastic being crumbled. Anytime anyone moved during the night, the noise woke us up. The only other complaint was the amount of unsupervised small children 3-10 just running around. A child probably 5, came into the elevator as we entered, no adults in sight. This same child we later saw walking around with their shirt half off at 9:30pm. Around 10, someone reported to the front desk this child was in the parking lot just walking alone. In the common area, there were several children 5-8 playing on and around the fireplace. We couldn't sit down because of them. One of the children kept touching the latern decorations and almost knocked it off the stoop a few times. The parents were there, they just weren't paying attention. Going back up to our room, there was a group of about 8 kids 3-10ish running through the halls. They had been going on the elevator to all levels doing this.

Loved this lodge! Beds were super comfy. Hiking trails were beautiful. Views were gorgeous. The grounds were so peaceful. There were a lot of families and kids who all seemed to be having fun. The only thing I didn’t love was the breakfast Buffett. It was $20 a person and there was I my eggs, potatoes and meat. Very limited for that price. Other than that this was one of my favorite places we stayed on our trip down the Oregon coast and we’ll definitely be back again.

The scene and property is beautiful. The food was average and expensive. There was nowhere to sit and enjoy the view as we had in the past. The fireplace sitting area was half the size it used to be. They had painting classes going on in there as well. To be fair, it was Thanksgiving break. So kids everywhere and noisy. It was good to see families having fun together. Just not what we were going for. The front desk staff said that it isn’t normal to have so many kids. Maybe I’d try again. I would eat off site for some meals. I’m sad to say this because we’ve loved going there in the past.

Love Skamania. Loved our suite with 2 bathrooms. Enjoyed the huge fire pit. Food was great! The hot tubs are amazing. Our only disappointment was the pool temp. Way too cold so i didn’t get to use the pool. The last time I was here years ago the water temp was the biggest memory I had and couldn’t wait to bring my daughter. So unfortunately was not the same as I remembered. But the property is amazing!!! And definitely want to try out the tree houses!

Our room smelled like old food when we walked in, seems like the room was above a failed hood vent from one of the kitchens. There was two large religious groups that made the check in a very long experience that I would have rather avoided. Staff was friendly but the pricing was out of control, seems like everything was priced as if the amenities were brand new, yet it seems nothing had been updated since the 90s. The food was delicious in their dining areas and the service was good. Overall if you are looking for good service and a delicious meal I would recommend the restaurant and spa, the hotel was overpriced and seemed to only tend to the large groups needs while ignoring the needs of individual customers.

We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful views. The staff are plentiful and kind. The breakfast area had the air conditioning going and was cold. After going to get my coat and mentioning it, the heat was on and it felt warm after that. I don’t think charging 15.00 for parking is very nice. There is plenty of parking and no one helps with it. Why do that? Just as a money grabber? You already get a resort fee. Please drop it.

What a quiet and relaxing time we had! We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and the breathtaking view. Beds were comfortable and the rooms had great lighting and views.
