Quick Stay, Ok for what was needed. Food…!
Having to book this hotel last minute as our booked hotel couldn’t accommodate us.
Didn’t arrive until after 8.00pm Cold, wet, tied & hungry as our travel from London to Stansted took over 4 hours due to delays, cancellations & no-shows.
Plus then wasting over an hour at our previous hotel at Stansted that hadn’t organised anything for us to stay.
We arrived at the reception & was greeted friendly by the team.
We were explained the hotel facilities & was explained over the weekend the pool is closed at 8pm.
We then made our way to our bedroom which was clean, organised but a little basic.
The view wasn’t the best of the bins, but it was late, dark & this was a quick stop-over.
But we are staying at a hotel mainly for travellers going on holiday, which we were but having to leave by 5am the following morning.
We had to get moving as we had to eat, shower & get to bed.
We both chose a Chicken Caesar Salad with Sweet Potato Fries.
Wow the portions were large (which isn’t a problem if we had known) & we could have taken just one & shared it.
The salad was fresh, tasty & the chicken moist.
I then chose a Sticky Toffee Pudding which wasn’t the best.
It came out cold with a noticeable thick skin on to which I had to scrape away.
I asked for the bill, payed & left.
We got to bed just after 1am
The following morning I woke up feeling very poorly.
This I put down to either the Chicken or the Dessert. This is such a shame, why food procedures are not managed.
