Hotel.com did not do anything that I asked them to do and that was making sure my requests were told to hard rock casino resort and spa. The rooms in the royal tower are nothing like the website makes them look. We were first put on the 10th floor and it stunk so bad my mom puked. It was her first time going, my dad has recently passed away and my mom is nearing hers and I’m taking her to do things she’s always wanted to do. I requested specifically she has an ocean view and she had the pool and the boat dock. I spent a good hour on the phone with someone at hotels.com to be sure she got this. Also it was mine and my husband’s wedding anniversary so I had requested wine to be in the bed and it wasn’t. You may get charged a couple hundred dollars less by using hotels.com but it is not worth it really, not if you are requesting specific things. The hard rock resort and casino in the Royal tower is outdated but they recently have built the platinum tower and it looked nice. The resort done everything they could to help us once we got there but it was too much walking for my mother trying to get settled.

Everything was pretty much great. The only thing I missed was that we didn't get our room cleaned. No one offered clean towels or to dump the garbage or make the bed. Never saw any room cleaning on our floor.

Cabana Nightmare

Checked in on last Thursday for my hubby’s birthday celebration. Now as far as check in, player services and the servers at Half Shell and Hard Rock..all were amazing! I’m truly sorry I forgot their names because they deserve a raise. My issue is with the cocktail service that supposedly comes with the cabana rental. The lady that checked us in was very nice, set up our area, had a problem with our tv and she got maintenance to come over to fix. During the check in, she told us that the waitress or waiter wouldn’t be available until 11 because that’s when they arrive ok no problem. Well it was 12:30 and we saw a lady kept walking by but she never acknowledged us. So I went to the bar and the guy said they would send whoever was assigned that area over and apologized for delay. Well it was the same lady that kept passing us and she said I apologize I have to get used to the cabanas in the back. Strike 1. Prob 30 min later or so she came back and said well I’m just checking on you all, since I have to do so. Strike 2. An hour or so passed and she came by and asked if we were ok, I ordered a drink and asked if we could get more ice for our beer bucket. She said well usually we don’t get things from the bar but since I was late coming I will go ahead and get it. Like what? She came back with my drink order and then proceeds to dump the ice over into the bucket that is full of water and it splashes all over me and my husband. She smirks and walks off. Strike 3. I did report her

Somewhat decent hotel. We really enjoyed the memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel. The staff was cheerful and friendly. Our room was very clean but had a funky, old mop water smell. We did tell the staff and they said they’d check into it but nothing came of it and we weren’t offered a different room. Some things in the room needed repair: the closet door wouldn’t shut, one of the sinks was clogged, and the electric/motorized blinds would get stuck. The bed was very comfortable and any outside noise could not be heard in the room. Overall, not a bad place to stay if you get a room that doesn’t stink.
