I spent 1 1.5 hours trying to check in. Front desk receptionist was not fixing or letting me know why my cards kept saying not authorized. Once we got to our room it smelled like smoke. House keeping had left by the time we got to the room so we couldn't get extra pillows.It smelled like mold down the hallway. There was no bell caddy to help with our luggage. This is a resort however it felt like we were staying at a more 6.

First off I would like to say that the customer service was awful. The front desk needs some training on how to treat people. Also, the beds are super hard and if you are looking for pillow top comfort, keep looking. I will never stay here and also pass the word to my friends not to as well.

We thought we'd treat ourselves for New Year's at a nice ocean view resort. Unfortunately, this is not a resort, at least not in the winter time. Not even any breakfast available anywhere on their extensive campus, even in the one restaurant that was open. That restaurant was noisy (despite only a few people) because it adjoins a games arcade. No ambiance, and yet regular restaurant prices. When we arrived, we were only the second party there for dinner, yet they sat us right next to the other party, which was literally a kids' birthday party. We had to ask to move. Only 2 luggage carts for two buildings. Erratic heating and air conditioning. Dated decor, few hooks or towel racks in the bathroom, and yet they charged a $59 resort fee on top of their already higher than usual hotel room charge. And when we tried to watch the ball come down in Times Square, the TV couldn't get that channel (or most other channels either). Gulfport was nice, this hotel not so much!
