The rooms are very basic. Not even a blow dryer or iron. The mattresses are fifty years old. Hostels are even better than this. The placa is nice and close to LaRambla. Id never stay here again.

Staff were very helpful and attentive. Continental breakfast included was small in selection, but delicious (the bread and cafe con leche was so good). The room is not luxurious, but it’s clean and exactly what i was looking for. The location was also a huge positive; everything is walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

The location was good, although a bit noisy at night but this added to the atmosphere. Need to add kettle and maybe a small fridge, we mainly came to watch Barcelona ladies football on the 18th May and had an excellent 5 day stay. The architecture is amazing.

Right off rambla, great restaurant nearby, taxis will have to leave you off a way and ya have to carry the luggage, after hours outside is ifi with lots of party goers and vagrants, be careful, rooms are tiny but great for the price, 24 hrs staff is a plus.

Great location walkable to most sights. Very clean. Out dated mattress very hard not a pillow top, the pillow was worse. Shower water pressure excellent except shower current needed weighted bottom because hugged your body. Breakfast was good yogurt, plain muffin, croissants, cereal and rolls with OJ and coffee.

Great area, tired and rundown hotel

Well its a small hotel with great staff, and a great location but seems to me that the owner/owners are very cheap since it is in a state of desrepair. It has much patch works, horrible damage in bath rooms and sleeoing areas. There is rotted in our bathroom, mildew and just rundown furniture, curtains, etc. It needs major restoration. Its a pity since its in a beatiful plaza. But some owners border on slumlords. Receotion and staff are great.

I was fortunate to get a room on the back of the hotel, so it insulated from the noise of Placa Reial. On the other hand, the walls are really thin, and I could clearly hear the speech of the residents of both rooms that surrounded mine. The breakfast buffet is only adequate and doesn't open early enough for attendees of the MWC Barcelona convention. The bed was not terribly comfortable, while the bathroom lighting was underwhelming. For the regular (non-MWC week) room rate, this might be acceptable, but for the rates charged during MWC week, I'd really expect something better. The location is convenient to transportation and the Gothic Quarter, which is a plus.
