The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. This review is solely based on the room itself. It’s TINY. My partner and I only had 2 carry on bags and 2 personal bags but were unable to open our bags and have any room to move around. It was extremely claustrophobic. The room was also very run down and did not look like the pictures at all. We felt so uncomfortable here that we decided to check out early and find a new hotel.

Great stay! Easy check in process, and they even had luggage lockers to store our items in while exploring the city before we could check in, which was so nice! Also, the 12pm check out time was great as we were heading for the airport and wanted to sleep in before the long haul back home.

Clean, Well Appointed But Warm Room

Guestrooms and corridors appear to have been renovated in past few years and nicely appointed. Air conditioning is limited with the thermostat not permitted to be set colder than 23.4 degrees Celsius (74 degrees Fahrenheit); as someone who needs a cool room to sleep, this was disappointing. It did cool down some once the sun went down and I opened a window to cool the room down a bit, but won’t be able to keep the window open all night due to the busy street below.

This hotel was very centrally located to the areas I wanted to visit. Close walk to Sagrada Familia and the arch di triomf. The hotel room was quite small/tight even as a solo traveler and for some reason 2 of my nights in the middle of the night the room had a terrible smell of dirty ashtray coming from the aircon. The staff was attentive when I told them but nothing came of it.. no room change or anything. The buffet breakfast was alright. Good selection and coffee machine.

The hotel is about 25 to 30 minutes walk to the Gothic quarter. It is not a new building but well kept. The breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly. The room is not big and as my room faces the street it can get noisy at times. But generally it is pretty quiet.

Great for a city break
