Friendly and helpful staff. Well maintained property but property located in undesirable area especially for women and children travelers.

There area was full of prostitutes across street. There is no elevator for handicapped individuals. Found bed bug crawling on pillow. Reported to staff and wanted refund on stay she told me she couldn’t. Had to send email to corporate and manager. Talked to manager and supposedly needs an inspector to come check room. If they don’t find more won’t issue my refund so I will be out my $147.00 and some change. It’s a horrible place to stay.Don’t recommend to stay here at the Quality Inn at 200 Union Ave. Bakersfield,Ca 93307.

I am an older man and the shower/tub floor was extremely slippery when wet and I had to use a towel to provide for a safe surface when taking a shower. There are not any bath mats (safety type) of hand holds/bars to keep from slipping and falling when standing to take a shower. This is very concerning as far as safely taking a shower due to inability to stand without slipping and standing or moving safely in a wet tub area.
