Ice machine and water/soda vending machine broken on the 6th floor. We paid $2 and got nothing form the vending machine. No light in the walk in closet. The door in the bathroom and walk-in closet close automatically and can't be left open which is inconvenient. Noisy and very old A/C. Tiny travel blow drier. No fridge. Great balcony on the 6th floor.

Depressing hotel

Depressing Hotel. The rooms feel like a cross between a Half-way house & a shelter for battered women. Bare-boned, stark, & sad. What furniture exists is mismatched, bought from a garage sell, or donated. No art, empty walls. Management is clearly coasting on the bare minimum. Think worse than a Motel 6. Staff was nice.
Pretty sure they just took that chair from a church.
This is the party corner.
Squeakiest bed in the world.
Functional. That's the nicest word I can think of.

Great hotel my only problem was that there is no functioning ice machine. All staff was nice and it’s nice to be away from the madness on the beach but still super close. Right next to Vons which was helpful

Exactly as advertised! Checkin was a short walk from the pier. You could get a taxi but we walked 10 minutes to see the shops and sights. There is construction of a new home or building next to the hotel during the day. Currently they are removing soil and preparing the foundation. It will be interesting to see if they block the view of the hotel that is comparable to other hotels that are twice the price.

Coffee is served in the foyer every morning. No coffee convinces in room. Morning coffee was not ready at 7:30 am. I had to wait. Creamer pump was empty and grimmy. Ice machine was out of order. Bedroom floors were dirty. The location is nice if you dont mind the incline walking back to the hotel from main beach area. We thought this hotel was overpriced for the tiny accommodations. Definately an old apartment vibe.

The property was walkable from the main street. Bed was comfortable; no issues on the internet. The valve to turn on the shower in bathroom was difficult to turn around and had hard time adjusting the temperature of the water. The staff at night was very helpful to give us ice bucket and glasses to use in our room. The morning staff was supposed to give us information on how to get the $2 dollar transportation but was not able to provide us the information.

Loved the location and rooms were simple but clean. Overall, the staff was great with the exception of the woman who worked the morning shifts at front desk., She was flat out rude on several occasions The other staff working the front desk were lovely.
