Very clean room, comfy bed, nice mini fridge and microwave (be advised, my mini fridge did not have a freezer), nice quiet place, very nice breakfast. I can't speak for the pool as I did not make any attempt to use it. Extremely friendly staff as well. A very nice stay. I spent 6 nights here.

The floor had a missing piece of laminate and the piece between the bedroom and bathroom was not secured so every time we walked into the sink area, the piece would come up. The staff were friendly. The hotel was in walking distance to Moody Center and the other hotels were over $200 more a night. All we needed was a bed to sleep in because we weren't there even 8 hours in the room.

I booked this as a foreigner, unaware of the generally poor reputation of the Super 8 brand (though mea culpa, I should have researched this). This place is very meh - a cheap motel, not terrible, but nothing special. Very basic, amenities workable but in poor condition, stained curtains etc. you get the picture. Pictures appear to be old or 'enhanced'. Was fine for a brief stay but would not stay again. Nb, if planning to walk to downtown from here, the motel is on the other side of the i35, an extremely busy multi-lane freeway with often non-functional pedestrian lights.

Parking was easy and free, although the parking lot needs to be repaved. Free parking in that neighborhood is pretty remarkable so I was really happy. The room was clean and functional. The A/C kicked in quickly and cooled the room down very fast. Free breakfast was good, a little carb heavy, but for the price of the room, excellent value. The outside of the motel has been recently repainted, but the walkways are dirty and rundown, which affects the look of the place. The staff is quiet until you are friendly, then they are very friendly . Unfortunately, our TV didn't work, although someone did try to fix it. Also, the ice maker did not work. I loved not needing to pay for parking at the Moody Center since it was only a 15 minute walk. Excellent value. I will stay there again next time I go to the Moody Center.

The maid tried to steal my bottle of liquor. After checking in, I went to my room on the first floor and I put my bottle of alcohol in the fridge. I used the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush, also the colorful blankets on the beds were stained, gross. I gathered my things and I went to the front and requested a new room. They gave me a new room on the 2nd floor and told the maid to clean the room that I just left right before she was leaving for the day. I get into my new room, then quickly realize that I forgot to grab the alcohol out of the fridge in the first room. So I ran outside to flag the maid down and said I forgot something in the fridge. All of the sudden, she pulls my bottle of alcohol out of her car then says “I was about to take it to the front desk” which is a lie because her car was parked right next to the front office and need I say again, she pulled it out of her car. I ran downstairs to grab it and she repeatedly stated that she was going to take it to the front desk. So, be careful staying here. Also, the sheets in my new room were stained and had cigarette burns in them. You get what you pay for I guess.

Sorry, but I didn't even make it in! The outside of this place gave me pause. It's completely run down from the outside and honestly when I pulled in I thought it was no longer open. Nothing about it made me feel safe so I opted not to even get out of my car! Money wasted.
