The Crowne Plaza isn’t what it used to be. It’s in desperate need of upgrades. The floor in my room was dirty. Debris under the bed and furniture. Shower needed scrubbed. I’m glad I only stayed 2 days. I won’t go back to this hotel.

The property is in dire need of an upgrade--carpet torn and frayed, wallpaper bulging due to moisture, plastic moulding coming off from the wall, tub dirty, and ceiling had been painted over in random places which makes me think they are trying to cover water damage. Staff was friendly, but check in process VERY slow

The hotel needs to be overhauled. Parking facility is run down, not convenient, and not considered safe after dark. Valet is $50 per night. No soap, no tissues, and only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper.

Booked a night at Crowne Plaza Midtown Atlanta for 1 night as we had tickets to a musical at The Fox Theater. Check-in started at 4pm. We arrived at 6pm and used valet parking (I’ll get back to this in a minute). After waiting for 25 minutes to check in, I was told that they had no rooms clean and I would have to wait. Was given 25-30 min time window for our room to be ready. After 7pm, we were told that our room still was not ready. We had to leave our luggage with the valet and change clothes in the hotel lobby restroom- which had no toilet paper, no paper towels and only 1 of the 3 stalls was in working order. After arriving back to the hotel after 11:30pm we finally got into our room. No hand soap, no toiletries, mildew in the corners of the tub. Not what was expected from this type of hotel. Upon checking out the next morning, informed the front desk of the state of our room. They offered to refund my valet parking ($50 value) but then when valet went to get my car, I was informed that someone had busted out my back window of my vehicle. So after a police report and zero help/contact or information from valet or hotel, I am now doing all of the leg work to get my window fixed. I usually have decent service with IHG hotels (I’m not super picky, just be clean) but after this experience, I’ll stick with Marriott or Hilton from now on.

This was the most horrible experience I've had since coming to Atlanta. For starters: the check-in line took at least 45 min. Not sure of why this was like this; they had 4 front desk persons working. I will say that an apology was offered for the long wait. My room was awful: 1. the heater never worked; it was so very cold there; the windows are not well insulated, so that was another source for the coldness 2. the hot water never got hot enough 3. the bathroom floor was filthy 4. the ceiling above the bathtub had some brown substance on it; I do believe it was mold, as it was also near the vent there (I have pictures). If not mold, perhaps dirt, but I believe that it was mold 5. there was no soap nor lotion in the bathroom 6. the shower head brace was very rusty and dilapidated 7. there was a sticky substance in the hallway once you exited the elevators 8. the ice machines did not work on the 9th or 11th floors; had to go back to the lobby for a 20 min wait in line to get a key to go onto the 5th floor ice machine 9. the carpet on the floors to the rooms was buckling and uneven; almost fell as my luggage wheel got obstructed It was not a nice experience, and I do not generally complain, but the list just got too long. I do have pictures if needed
