We checked in at 4;30pm to the hotel and our room was not cleaned and ready. Check in is at 3 so not sure why the delay. We sat in the lobby for 45 min waiting for our room. The lobby was very cold due to doors constantly opening & shutting.

I was wrongly accused of smoking in my room by either another guest or the house cleaning staff. I know the rules and have never smoked in any hotel room ive ever stayed in. The parking charges are also ridiculous. I wont be staying at the blackwell in the future. That being said, the staff in the breakfast buffet area of the hotel was excellent. They were the bright spot of the trip for us.

Improve food for breakfast. Need a hot pot of oatmeal, not instant. Need a new brand of OJ that doesn’t taste bitter. Bacon needs cooking longer and grease drained. Bagels are very good. Wait staff very friendly, but takes 10-15 minutes to bring out coffee and tea after sitting down to breakfast.
