L’ensemble concernant cet emplacement a été excellent principalement le personnel de l’établissement. Cependant les chambres sont minuscules et offrent peu de fonctionnalités.

Cons - there are no lifts, and the stairs are steep, but the staff offered to help carry my case. Pro's - it's a quiet and lovely location, but close to multiple small restaurants. An easy 40 minute walk to most places I wanted to visit like the Rijksmuseum.

Nice hotel

Great little hotel in a good location, loved the basketball hoops in the room. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest (run out of loads of things including juice and only bread and tomatoes for a vegan) We would definitely stay there again, but wouldn’t have use breakfast.

I stayed here recently and found the location to be very convenient close to everything I needed. The room itself was quite small, but since I didn’t spend much time in it, it wasn’t a big issue. What really made up for it was how safe I felt during my stay and how genuinely friendly and welcoming the staff were. Overall, a good choice if you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable place with great service.

The best part of Max Brown in the Canal District was the bed — very comfortable — and the beautiful views of the canals. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing. The building is all steep, narrow stairs, so if you have any bags (or mobility concerns), you’ll need serious help. It’s definitely not handicap-friendly or suited for anyone with physical limitations. We had issues at check-in after extending our stay and accidentally booking the other Max Brown for one night. I took responsibility for the mistake, but the front desk staff member was insulting and unhelpful. The location is also far less convenient than advertised — not close to much of anything. Our room was by the entrance, and the smell of cigarette smoke from staff hanging outside regularly drifted in. This could have been a lovely stay, but as a frequent traveler to Amsterdam, I won’t be returning.

The property felt cozy and like a respite after a morning of travel. The front desk staff person welcomed us with a complimentary drink and assisted with booking a boat tour with a small discount. The room was comfortable (two twin beds) with a view of the canal. I appreciated the housekeeping service who provided new towels and made the beds. The location was walkable to everything we planned to see, and easily navigable to Centraal Station for train or tram service.

The hotel was perfect! The location, the rooms, the breakfast, the staff. It is located just 10mins from the Centraal station, so close to everything like canals, shops, restaurants. I loved the decor and the room was beautiful and comfortable, they did so well for a small space. The breakfast was perfect, boiled eggs, toast, croissants, fruit, yogurt, endless coffee 😊 the staff were so friendly too. I would highly recommend to everyone.
