Room was good but the pillows were terrible - lumpy and fat and bed very soft. Check in and out was impersonal. No nice bathroom amenities that you’d expect when paying top dollar. Proximity to international terminal however is unrivalled.

Room was clean / immaculate and the cleaning lady (lily) even made 2 swans out of the towels (amazing job, I took photos for my wife) - buffet breakfast was wonderful and staff were kind and helpful - lobby staff were efficient and most helpful - concierge had a great personality and always let people know when their transport was arriving - Fiji airways desk person was so helpful - Overall a great holiday experience and would gladly recommend to family and friends. Love staying at the Sofitel as it is a great location with the tram stop so close. Our room was perfect and staff as always were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the Club Lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes - such a treat! All staff in the Lounge were lovely but in particular Anna was a standout.

Pool bar closed too early and not enough variety in food options. Having some music in the background would also add to the daily holiday vibe. Lobby bar closed too early so no opportunity to spend time with with other visitors after dinner. No water provided in the rooms , only paid bottles which were disappointing. Otherwise, we loved our room and the pool area!

Everything was fine except for the unexpected room deposit which cost more than the room itself and still hasn’t been refunded 5 days later despite the receptionist telling us that the room fee would be taken out of the room deposit, which it wasn’t, so we are out of pocket until the refund is processed.
