Playa Blanca is located in the south of the island of Lanzarote. It is the third most important tourist enclave on the island. It belongs to the municipality of Yaiza and in recent decades has experienced a boom in the tourism sector that has made it a notable point of enormous interest for those who visit the island.



A small sandy beach located in the heart of the town gives the place its name. With a marked fishing tradition, the town of Playa Blanca has gone from being an almost non-existent place to becoming a point of interest not only tourist but also cultural, whose port allows maritime connection with the neighboring island of Fuerteventura.
