My opinion, this was a gem to find for a couple of days in Windsor. It's down the hill from the castle, so less noise and tour buses. I tend to like the quiet places where I can take a morning walk. If you are more of a fan of pubs, this hotel is a block away from 3 good pubs that are easily walkable. The staff was very attentive. I had help with my bags all the way to the room, help with umbrellas, directions, and even taking a river cruise. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and there was a self-service Espresso machine to make individual americanos or frothy cappuccinos. Booking with Expedia gave me a decent price for breakfast included. The view from the dining room overlooks the river and was tranquil in the morning. Overall, a very relaxing place. My wife and I used it for a couple of nights to adjust to the jet lag and relax before spending 11 days in Scotland and Ireland.

Nice hotel and the location was convenient. Parking was VERY inconvenient. Room was hot, but fan helped. Bed was a small double, probably what I booked, so not their fault. The best thing was breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the river.

We wrapped up our trip with a stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, and it honestly couldn’t have been a better choice. The location is unbeatable—tucked right along the river with Windsor Castle just steps away. It had that perfect mix of charm and convenience that made us feel like we were living in a storybook for a few days. The hotel itself has so much character, and we loved the blend of historic charm with modern touches. Our room was super comfortable and peaceful, which made it easy to unwind. The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast by the water was a definite highlight. What we really loved most, though, was the whole vibe of the area. Windsor has this cozy, quaint-town feel with cute shops, riverside paths, and little corners to explore everywhere you turn. We found ourselves wandering with no real plan—and that ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. Would absolutely stay here again. It was the perfect little exhale to end our travels.

Excellent location right on the Thames river, with views of the Thames from our room, and from breakfast room and Brasserie. Just a block from Windsor castle. Really good and extensive buffet breakfast was included. Nice staff. Good sized room. Only caveat is that it required a bunch of steps up and steps down, then a full flight of steps up to reach our room. This was ok for us but would be difficult for some. Bellhop carried our bags up and down.

Stayed here two nights. Room was very comfortable with everything that you need in it. It has a chair too. The room was of a good size being able to fit all our luggage. The Breakfast was ok but a few suggestions: unfortunately your croissants were stale, the coffee from machine only makes warm coffee but your fresh fruit was nice. Fast check out was good. The Portuguese speaking lady on reception was very welcoming. Parking was easy to use and handy to have over our stay. When we first arrived it took us ten minutes to try and find Reception - it’s not very well marked - there’s plenty of “wren” markings on the top of buildings so we went into every doorway except reception until last. The sign that is reception indicates the name of another hotel starting with an “S” and not the wren.
