The staff are wonderful. Reception team and the bar staff. Yes the whole property could so with a refurb but it was absolutely sufficient for myself and my daughter. The rooms are huge! Breakfast was good and the location is brilliant for the zoo.

Room was excellent, staff were very helpful. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Inflexible when ordering dessert (would not swap ice-cream for custard) and the breakfast was also slightly disappointing as there were only a limited choice (eg no sausages). However overall it was a very convenient stay.

Rooms were fine, lots of nice scenic views. Staff were helpful and friendly, wasn't impressed with the food though. The unseasoned steak I ordered didn't see the inside of a frying pan at all and the breakfast was a bit low on the portion side of things considering it was about £11 per person. Lovely IPA on tap at the bar though!

The Hotel is undergoing upgrades - the pool Was unavailable but the bed was comfy, shower hot and good hot breakfast. Ok for price. I just wish they would upgrade/ freshen up the hotel front as my first impression was a scout camp! I’d stay again knowing what to expect

Hotel is in a lovely area and looks beautiful inside and out. The staff I met were nice, however was disappointed after having a long day to arrive and told they were not serving any food (was around 7pm). Our room was nice and mostly clean (empty bottles were left on the floor when we arrived) and the TV would only work on BBC1 and ITV and we couldn't use the remote as this didnt work either 🙈

Hotel looks tired. Reception staff excellent.Jaime went out of her way to assist us, so much so, I'm going to write to her manager informing him of the excellent service she provided. The only disappointment, was the breakfast considering how expensive it was.The was a very limited choice of hot food, no side plates for toast, and the food was only lukewarm. Given the fact we are suffering at the moment with the unusual heat, it might be worth the hotel having extra fans available for use in the rooms. Many thanks. Greg.
