Such an excellent hotel! For several years in a row it has been my choice to stay there. This year I stayed 12 days and everything was amazing! Best hotel in the entire area!

For a non-chain hotel this is a lovely place to stay. They have an on site full restaurant and have two large function rooms for weddings and parties. The lobby and common areas are vast and spotless. The rooms are immaculate. Very high level of standard (as if a hotel chain was running the process). In fact, having stayed at all mid-level hotel chains over several decades this hotel out ranks most for cleanliness. Very impressed. The rate was extremely good comparatively. It was close to the road which was noisy during the daytime hours especially at certain times. But there was little to no noise at night from the road nor from the two function rooms off the lobby that were filled for separate events. My only complaint was having to park way away from the building after returning later in the evening, due to both events patrons using the parking spaces. It would be nice to have guest only parking available but there’s not a huge space for that accommodation which is understandable. We will definitely keep the Royal on our list when we visit the area again! The reviews I read were not wrong and I was more than happy with our choice!

Heating/cooling unit in room was loud and smelled when on. Impossible to turn on and adjust shower without stepping completely in and getting wet (only one door slides open).

The staff were wonderful. Esp. Michael at the front desk. Very helpful, knowledgeable of the area, and polite. Michael went out of his way to be sure my mom was comfortable. He even came up to the room and checked on us once we were in our room. Super Star for that added attention! The hotel was clean and had a comfortable vibe. We had two rooms. They were both very clean. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. Healthy breakfast options were available. The food was fresh every day. We stayed 4 days. nothing change from the excellent quality we found when we arrived. They had a well stocked bar. The restaurant was attached and had an outside area that did not feel secluded. There was a few nice areas to sit and visit with family and friends. We were in for a wedding and several family members stopped in to see us. They all said they wish they had booked rooms with us. The place is safe. It is a fair price for the room. We really enjoyed the stay. Our mom is 91 and had no complaints. (which is rare!)
