The room itself was clean when I arrived, but felt quite dusty overall. Because the rooms are right above the pub attached nights tend to be quite loud and there's consistent booming of the bass speakers that makes the room shake with the beat. Halfway through my stay, there was a power outage in the entire hotel with little warning for a whole day (9-5), with the only notification I got about it being a note that was slipped under my door. The note also failed to inform me that the water and toilets would not be in use in that time either, which caused much distress. When mentioned, the reception staff seem to feel no need for extra explanation or compensation, only offering to pay for food that had gone bad in my room minifridge during the power outage when I asked for it specifically and nothing else.

Reception very welcoming and friendly, room good size comfy clean bed and bathroom same great to have small drinks gridge for my use and to get back to hotel and get a cold drink at night. Short walk to town, theatres and restuarants over the bridge. £10 for car park till 12pm next day / each day I guess, otherwise if staying in town after checkout £1 an hour which was great as gave me a chance to go to the Sunday market they had on. Will definately be back next year.

An excellent hotel. We had a lovely spacious room . It was well furnished and very clean. The Bistro served an excellent evening meal and breakfast the following morning. It was so nice to have everything under the one roof . I just wished we were able to stay longer .

Our room was Olivier. It was a suit with a lovely sitting area with dining table, chairs, coffee table and much more. We enjoyed the coffee machine! The whole suit was very clean, bed comfortable and room quiet. The reception staff were very good and very helpful. The evening meals in the restaurant were tasty and well presented.
