The hotel is well placed, especially for the theatre. There was a large function on the night we stayed, which led to a shambolic breakfast buffet. No indication of where the queue started (on a circular buffet) which meant very long delays. The pool area is nice and was quiet when we used it. The staff were very friendly

Stratford night out.....
Stayed for a night out. On arrival staff greeting was very pleasant and stayed that way throughout, always happy to help with any enquiries. The room was clean spacious with a decent sized TV . The shower wasn't the best I've had but wasn't the worst either, also no plug for the bath but since I wasn't taking a bath it didn't bother me. The hotel facilities were excellent, plenty of parking at £10 per night. Good leisure facilities including a swimming pool. The bar was spacious Spacious, comfortable and relaxing although you needed to take a second mortgage out to drink there but that's true of all nice hotels. The restaurant was nice and clean. I only had breakfast there but it was five star, one of the best I've had . Self service with an excellent range of choice, they had everything. Overall an excellent stay and would definitely stay there again.

Positives: The reception, bar etc on the ground floor has a 'prestigious' feel to it, like a fancy big-city hotel. Room service was great, room itself was comfy, nice shower, great location, parking was expensive but lots of spaces so you can park nearby at least. Negatives: there was some kind of service door between my room and the adjacent room. It allowed a lot of the sounds and smells in from the adjacent room which made my experience unpleasant as I felt a lack of privacy and personal space. Also the door was not marked/signed, so on multiple occasions the people next door tried opening the door which was a bit scary. I have been subscribed to various spam emails from this hotel group and there is no easy option to unsubscribe. For these two reasons I have removed two stars from the rating. Won't be returning to this hotel again unfortunately.

Great welcome
Great welcome from Katie, who sorted a great compromise as my room was taken by somebody else for whatever reason. So no panic and a nice nights sleep. Only issue was the Wifi wasn't working in the morning.

Rip off…downstairs lovely till you get to the room
Respite break treated myself to the club room…waste of money…other guests said the same…it was like sitting in a library…no music no atmosphere…no candles no dimmed lights…outside the club room plenty lit candles soft music dimmed lights! No still water,no decaf tea bags,alcohol limited…made me shake my head…left wine in the end..other guests said there window ledges where full of water and had towels on them to soak it up…when I entered the room the voils where hung all creased…room was very dated…and yep! Window sills had water dripping all over the carpet….got a move and went to close curtains and my dress got drenched in water…same problem different room…reception staff where lovely… wouldn’t do enough.retired waiter was lovely to…pity when reception staff changed over the lady at reception was very rude…manager was nice and polite and said that was just her way which was a pity…I have a blue badge and I challenged paying to park…she waived the fee like she had done me a favour…apparently if I’d booked through the hotels website parking would have been free! But since hotels.com it wasn’t…even although I can park anywhere almost in the uk for free!
