I recently stayed at the Best Western in Wilsonville and had a frustrating experience. When I arrived, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation, even after checking multiple computers. After some time, they finally located it, but when I got to the room, it only had one bed—despite my Orbitz reservation clearly stating that I had booked a suite with one king and one queen bed.
When I went back to the front desk, they told me I had reserved a suite, but according to them, their only suite had just one bed. However, the Orbitz listing for this hotel clearly shows multiple suite options, including the one I had booked with both a king and a queen bed. Instead of correcting the issue, they told me I had to pay a $20 cash “upgrade fee” to get a room with two queen beds—a standard room that was actually of lesser value than what I originally booked.
After some back and forth, they finally placed me in a room with one king and one queen—exactly what I had reserved in the first place. Before I left the front desk, they asked me to leave them a good review because they had “upgraded” me, when in reality, they just fixed their mistake after charging me extra.
While the room itself was fine, the way they handled the situation was frustrating and felt dishonest. I wouldn’t stay here again based on this experience.
