The hotel is located on a main road that allows for access to all major attractions including the White House, the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court etc. There are various restaurants in the area and overall, the hotel was quiet, staff is friendly and helpful. The parking is also provided but at a cost that can get pricey the longer one stays in.

The bathroom situation was not ideal — it had a glass pocket door. I also requested that my room be cleaned, but it was not done properly. At checkout, I noticed I was charged for breakfast, even though I had asked for it to be removed. Each day I was told I had a $17.50 credit for dining at the hotel, but this was not reflected on my final bill. The hotel is generally OK. The elevators can get a bit congested, but nothing horrible. My biggest complaint was awaking to loud hammering and drilling inside of the hotel at 5:15 am on the last morning of my stay. When I mentioned this to the rep when checking out, he really didn’t care. How can any hotel, let alone a JW, start doing this type of work at 5:15 am?? Totally unacceptable.

Liked the convenience of the location and the friendliness and helpfulness of the “ground staff”. Didn’t like length of waiting time for elevators, no tissues in the bathroom, takes a “long time” for sink water to get hot, the bottom of the bathroom door is “mushrooming” (from a past flooding incident?), there was a screw on the floor and a mold spot in the upper door frame into the shower… also:$72 for overnight valet parking?
