The manager was surprisingly unhappy with people arriving there.
We got there at 4:40 pm (the check-in time was 4 pm). The front desk door was closed, nobody answered the phone, and we waited for 10 mins outside in the blizzards. There was another guest that came 5 mins before us also waiting. After some time, we found a worker outside, and he told me to come back in 2 mins. Went back to a car, and came back after 15 mins, and the front desk door was still locked. I found the guy working in one of the cabin rooms, and he angrily said “I told you to come back in 2 mins. I was waiting at the front desk for 5 mins”. He then told me the room would be ready in an hour. There was another group that came an hour earlier, and they were told to wait for an hour, and then for another hour. It turns out that the worker I talked to was a manager. Maybe he was frustrated with the delay in getting the rooms set up, but it was definitely not a great experience, especially for $440/night.
