We only stayed 1 night so i didnt Say anything but our room had a lot of gnats, there were holes in the walls in the bathroom, the nightstand was pealing, the corner chairs fabric was tearing, the thermostat said 67 but it was HOT in the room. Pictures of this hotel look cool online but in person, not so much

It was just average. We didn't even get extra lotion for the next day stay. You pay for two nights and just received the lotion for one day. Room small and no chair only an desk chair. I won't stay again.

Pros: Very pretty building, great location, large room, quiet, great views of the river, in-room fridge Cons: staff at the front desk and at the bar were surprisingly unfriendly and unhelpful, especially considering that it wasn't busy. The room was very nice but the black-out curtains were ripped in several places, the suitcase stand was broken, and the mattress was comically soft (it literally drooped in the middle).

I was in Pittsburgh for business and the Renaissance was convenient to my meeting. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean. However, the curtains were tattered. The restaurant was closed because it was a Sunday night. The bar offered food but it was a minimal menu. Most of the restaurants in the area were also closed. The fitness center was one of the hotel'd better features. The lobby had a few interesting architectural features but was dark and not well designed for guest use. The hotel is ok for a one-night stay if you want to be in downtown Pittsburgh and have a limited budget.

We stayed here for a concert at PNC Park. Very short walk to the concert. We had an issue with our room when we first got there, but the manager put us in a different room immediately. The building is definitely old, but beautiful. The rooms are dated and all of the bedsheets, pillows and mattresses desperately need replaced. We used the valet parking out front the gentleman getting our cars were very nice.

Very nice hotel. The room was great, fantastic bed. Walking distance to the ballpark which is why we stayed there. Parking lot directly across the street which is very inexpensive. Great place to stay! Will definitely stay there again Next time I go to Pittsburgh.
