The hotel is situated very close to the Vista Bhan gondola and it's the most convenient and affordable hotel offering a true ski in ski out experience. They do their best to create the truly Austrian ambiance which Vail was originally designed to replicate. In some ways the hotel is showing it's age but they do their best to maintain the elegant nature of this cozy boutique hotel.

Lovely stay here. Terrific, friendly staff. Very clean well kept property, high quality beds and bedding. The location couldn’t be better, less than a 2 minute walk to Gondola One and can walk anywhere in the Village within 10. Will stay again!

This is an older hotel but well maintained. It may be the very best location in Vail and is THE best location near Vail Village. There’s no A/C in the rooms but that’s really not needed in Vail. They do provide a fan for the room and that’s more than adequate. We stayed in two different rooms over two nights and the shower in the second room was a little wonky in terms of temperature but it was functional. The cost to value of this hotel would be hard to beat. I was truly surprised at the value for a good room in such a prime location.
