We had a wonderful 3 night stay! Clean rooms, soft sheets and amazing staff! Pool was great for my child, deepest point was 4ft and there was a wave maker and a water bucket spill toy and he loved it. This will be my go to hotel for any trips to the GTA going forward.

Disappointing Experience

Check in experience was just adequate. Few restaurants in the area, so chose to eat at the in-house Burger Theory. The food was not good at all. Hamburger overcooked and seemed to be reheated, celery limp & dried up at the ends, soda drink warm, flat, & stake. Miniature 1-ply napkins, etc. Back to my room to watch the Toronto Ottawa hockey game, only to find that the TV did not have CBC or any other channel carrying the game. Indeed it only produced a watchable picture on approx 12 channels. I took my concern to the front desk, where they blamed their service provider and said they'd "reset the TV". Needless to say, nothing happened and I missed the game. Next morning led to the discovery that there was only decaf coffee available in the room, no glasses provided, not even plastic ones! General observation is that the facility is dated, prices are too high for what is offered, and every step has been taken to reduce costs regardless customer expectations. Miniature napkins, cheap TP, no cups or glasses, minimal staffing, etc. First and last stay at this location.

The bedding was not clean. When we came, I felt like the bedding was not newly changed; it seemed to have just been rearranged. You can see the creases. Then the other morning I asked for room cleaning and ask for new bedding since I don't want to be mean asking for new bedding at the day we just checked in. but then again when we came back after we goes out I checked the bedding it was not change even the pillow cases you can see the it was dirty you can see brownish stain on it and has some hairs. It was terrible and gross. But the staff are nice and friendly at the reception and in the breakfast area. By the way, we stayed for 3 nights. We have been to different hotels before we checked into the Holiday Inn Mississauga Toronto West by IHG for a week's trip.

Staff was accommodating and helpful. Except I did not like the fact that one of the cleaners/floor staff came to check to see if there were 6 hangers in my room the evening before I checked out while I was out (my teen aged kids and their younger siblings were in the room at the time) and they took the 3 extra coat hangers I brought with me for my stay. They did not even have the decency or common sense to think that I might have brought extra hangers with me. That was the most disappointing part of my stay. They least they could have done was ask "Are these extra hangers yours"? Please train your staff better than this.

Pool was out of order…no ice machine…dirty rooms.

Despite calling to confirm that the pool was open prior to booking, the pool was closed for maintenance. The whole reason for booking was so that my son would have a pool to swim in and if the hotel staff had been honest, I would have just booked a different hotel. I talked to the front desk and they didn’t take accountability at all and just said that the pool was open 365 days a year so we were just unlucky. No compensation besides a breakfast which didn’t help us. The room was also dirty and the ice machine on our floor was broken. This hotel was such a horrible experience for us and the blatant lies and disregard for customer service is just apalling.
