Hotel was very nice, clean, and safe. I liked how it was located just outside of town away from traffic and crowds. They served a nice hot breakfast that included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and waffles along with some cold breakfast items. The pool was nice too It was a great place to stay for our base. We visited and shopped in Nappannee, Middleberry, Topeka and Shipshawana.

We had such a lovely experience staying at this Amish hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotless everything was — the cleanliness truly stood out. The room was not only incredibly tidy but also very comfortable, with simple touches that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. You can really tell that a lot of care and pride goes into maintaining the space. The hospitality was also top-notch — warm, welcoming, and respectful. If you’re looking for a restful place to stay that’s both clean and comfortable, this is a gem. We would definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the VanBuren! Loved that we were on the first floor—near the breakfast buffet. Next time we’re in Shipshewana we plan on staying here again vs the other hotels in the “down town” area of Shipshewana. ❤️
