The property and people were amazing. Us adults got pushed out of the hot tub by a bunch of kids and their parents didn't care. We were close to the pool and could hear them running up and down the halls. The hallway reminded me of a nursing home. We had mold in our bathtub, beds were hard. We had an okay time.

The Essenhaus Inn provides a cozy, but elegant atmosphere to rest, relax, and restore. The pool/hot tub area is immaculate. The breakfast area is spacious, but still offers an intimate feel. The breakfast choices go a bit beyond the usual offerings provided. The Essenhaus Restaurant/Bakery is within walking distance.

The only thing I noticed that could use attention, was the overhead fan by the hot tub. It was loud and rattling which was kind of annoying and made it difficult to converse. A piece of pool noodle attached to the side would keep it from banging against the wall. Other than that minor detail, there was nothing at all wrong. Everything was spotless, the room was spacious, and we had a wonderful visit!

Nice hotel. It was clean and had some nice amenities like coffee and cookies in the lobby. Staff was not overly friendly but were available to answer any issues and or questions. It was off season so not much to do around the area, but we were there for work. Breakfast area was under construction but the restaurant on the property was amazing. We only had the pleasure of visiting for breakfast, but the staff was friendly, efficient and the food was very good.

Loved it!

Wonderful stay for our 41st anniversary. Loved the Inn, restaurant, bakery and little shops. Breakfast and cookies were a nice touch. Pool and hot tub were a bonus.
